\ SCOPE

My clients had just completed an extensive renovation of this 1920 Los Feliz gem. The owner is currently studying interior design and was very involved in setting the mood of this garden. She requested a garden that referenced the romance of old New Orleans gardens. This idea translated into hand-designed wrought-iron gates (designed by the client), antique iron light fixtures, a whimsical fountain and a traditional material palette of bluestone.

The focal point of this garden is a billowy California Pepper tree (in lieu of a Weeping Willow) and in a few years I hope to see climbing roses cascading over the walls, purple Wisteria draping over her front doors and all of the old-fashioned perennials in full bloom.
